“Of the many different character classes in WOW, each having a different accepted role, there is one lauded as superior by those who play them, and scoffed at by those around them. There are a few responsibilities that must be filled for a group of adventurers to succeed in a dungeon. There must be a “”tank”", someone who gets the attention of the monsters they are attempting to kill. A healer is important to keep the group alive. There are damage dealers who are primarily responsible for slaying the monsters in melee or from a distance. Characters in charge of crowd control stall certain targets to make taking down others easier. Each class generally fills one role with ease and can switch to another if it is needed. The Warrior, for example, is first and foremost a tank. Warriors are given the most abilities to generate and maintain the focus of the foe. But in a group with two warriors, or if another class wants to try their hand at tanking, the warrior can be used as a damage dealer. The WOW Paladin, normally used in instances as a healer and support character, can generate cause enough threat to hold the targets attention. The Druids of Azeroth, made up of the Night Elf and Tauren populations, have an interesting mix of abilities. To WOW, they are the shape shifting Jack of all Trades. They can heal the party, with efficiency topped only by the Priest. wow gold In Cat Form they can deal melee damage and sneak around their enemies with the guile of a Rogue. If shifted into Bear Form, they are capable of performing tanking roll of a Warrior. While in Moonkin Form, they can dole out massive damage by raining down arcane and nature spells on the target.

“There are many advantages and disadvantages to buying a World of Warcraft power leveling or a used World of Warcraft account. They both serve similar purposes in which you can start playing at a much higher level rather than starting fresh at level 1. If you buy a WoW power leveling session you are basically just hiring players to level up your character in which can save you time. Power leveling sessions are really cheap, normally alot less than the $5/hr minimum wage offered in the US because most of the workers who are leveling are based in China. Not only that but they normally are able to level faster than the average player considering they have workers rotating shifts along with many many practices in the game. One of the best part of leveling a brand new character is that you will have a fresh reputation of the character and you would be able to name the character as you like. You can even have the character trained the way you want as well. The disadvantage of a WoW power leveling session is that during the session you wouldn’t be able to log on and play the character until its been completed. So for a little downtime you get to have your character at the level you want at next to maximum speed. Buying a used World of Warcraft account is very similar to power leveling. The advantage is that your character will likely be geared with some nice equipment and you won’t need to spend the time waiting for the character to be leveled. It’s a faster option of power leveling. But unlike power leveling, you won’t have some privileges if you buy a used account such as naming the character with what you want and training the character the way you prefer.

Alive and Level 58

“If you ever think you’re going to be close to death for a week, make sure your toon is sitting in an Inn. The last 2 weeks have been tough, usually if I’m sick, I can still sit a couple hours in front of the PC and get some leveling or blogging done, but not this time, spending days at a time on the couch and watching BAD TV is what I’ve been doing. Finally Saturday I was able to login to WoW and was happy to see I had parked my toon in an Inn and now had 61K of bonus XP (Woohoo). Saturday I was able to hit level 56 and 57, then Sunday I hit 58.. Woohoo Outland! I couldn’t wait, I took a small tour of Outland or at least Hellfire Peninsula and then before bed last night a few guildies ran me through Hellfire Ramparts and The Blood Furnace. I now am about 80% into level 58, slowly climbing to 60 When running through Hellfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace, it seemed all the drops were for hunters and not my Rogue, but the XP was great! This being one of the first instances that I actually helped and wasn’t just run through, I learned alot. I learned of some of the skills I need to work on for my rogue, like lock picking to my level (we had to skip a check because I couldn’t open it). Before heading into an instance, if I have time, read a little on what to expect, I didn’t expect the techs to be dropping mines and also that I could disarm them. This led me to dieing a couple times and almost one complete wipe (mines, me being low pulled 2 mobs, it wasn’t pretty). Other things this run helped on was learning how the group works together, from the symbols of who to attack first to just watching what others are doing instead of just yourself (this is huge and a hard thing to learn, it took probably 3/4 of the night till a couple light bulbs came on and I started watching who and what the leader was doing, where others are standing and really keeping an eye on my health and aggro.) All in all the run was great, yes at times I looked like a noob (and am!) I did have the group laughing at my noobness but I learned alot with that first grouping, I’m just glad that I’m with a guild that will run you through things like that, help you with your mistakes, explain things to you but still laugh at you.

My Main is a Rogue, being the secret, quiet one of the bunch, helps when I need that extra helping hand, specially when soloing. I get so use to stealthing past baddies on some of the harder quest, while I watch others try their hardest to fight their way up a stair way or through a cave to get to the quest item. wow gold Why wouldn’t you love to stealth past the mobs, kill the “quest boss” and move on with your leveling. Lets not stop there, we have poisons to slowly injure or slow down our opponents, back stabs and special skill that on some of the beast, they just never saw it coming. One of the hardest things I’ve had to learn and still gets me in WoW is dying. Being an old school game player I do everything I can to keep from dying, reason being is that games use to have penalties for death. wow gold I can’t tell you how many times i’ve lost XP or had to go find my corpse and get my equipment off of it.

World of Warcraft Loot

“Some like it some are totally against it, but the WoW Trading Card Game has the special loot cards. Get one of these cards and you end up with something special ingame that others can only dream of.. ok that’s a bit of a stretch but there are a couple nice things. Most are just toys, a dragon kite or a fishing chair but the one everyone wants is the Spectral Tiger Mount. With the odds of getting one of these loot cards so high, it’s probably better off buying one off of ebay, but I’m a lucky person so why not try. A month ago I’m at a mall and see the cards, so I buy 5 packs, sit down in the mall getting ready for my winnings, open them and find nothing.. blah.. Like I said the odds of getting one of these cards is completely crazy, so I tell myself, next time I’ll buy 5 more and that’s it. (I’m not a gambler at all) So this week I’m Christmas shopping and see the cards once more, buy 5 packs and to my suprise, I’m a winner. I may be lucky but I’m not lucky enough to get the tiger mount, I won the Turtle Mount, yes the turtle mount, the one that when ridden it only has walking speed, anyone can ride it, you don’t need to be level 40, but it’s something. Running off to Booty Bay to claim my prize Turtle, first you go to the card games site and put in the secret number you scratch off the card, they then send you to Blizzard who gives you an in game secret number, just for your server (if you put the wrong server, you’re screwed and might as well make a toon there now). So armed with my in game secret number I find the NPC in BB, click on him, choose riding turtle, input the the # and nothing happens No wrong number, No here ya go, nothing.

So what do I do. Do I contact the card game makers. Blizzard. wow gold I found an email address on the card makers site and sent a brief rundown of what happened and asked what my course of action should be to resolve this. I haven’t received an answer yet (it was just last night) But as I was standing at the NPC after sending the email a level 1 walked up to the NPC and stood there for maybe 20 minutes, it had to be a GM because one they were level1 in BB but also when I tried to inspect them, I didn’t have the choice, I could point at her but when I tried to whisper, the whisper said there is noone logged in with that name. “Skinning allows players to gather leather and hides by skinning animals. Leather and hides are used for leatherworking. Leather is also used for some blacksmithing, engineering, and tailoring recipes. Becoming a Skinner First, find an NPC who can teach you the skinning profession (look for the words “”“” under the NPC’s name). They will likely be somewhere near leatherworking trainers. Now, you need to purchase a skinning knife. You can find skinning knives at merchants who sell Profession-related items. Place the skinning knife somewhere in your bag. You do not need to equip it. How to Skin Animals Only certain monsters can be skinned. When you kill a monster, select its corpse to see if it is skinnable. If the animal is skinnable, it will display “”Skinnable,”" with a color to indicate the difficulty. Open up your abilities book (”"p”") and find the “”Skinning”" icon. Drag the icon over to your action bar. Right-click on the icon and target a corpse that is marked as skinnable. Your character will then begin to skin the monster. You can also simply just right-click on the corpse to skin it after it has been looted. Information As your skill goes up, you become better at gathering higher-quality materials. The text displaying “”Skinnable”" is colored the same way as other trade skill abilities, indicating how difficult the task is (or whether it’s even possible at your current skill level) as well as how likely you are to earn skill points. You cannot skin the monster if your skill is not high enough. You will have to practice on lower-level monsters that are easier until you have enough skill to skin a higher-level monster. If you kill the animal (or it’s your turn to loot it in a group), you must loot it before you can skin it.

“Leatherworking is a crafting profession that goes hand-in-hand with the gathering profession of Skinning. As a leatherworker, you will create leather and mail armor out of the skins and hide of wild beasts. You can also create armor kits, which are single-use items that give a permanent armor or statistic boost to any type of hand, leg, chest, and foot armor. At high levels, leatherworkers can create epic quality armor, some of which can only be created by a leatherworker of a particular specialization. Leatherworkers can also create miscellaneous items, such as the highly sought after Riding Crop. Becoming a Leatherworker You should already be a skinner since you will need hides and leather to create your items. It is possible to be a leatherworker without being a skinner if you buy or are given the required ingredients by other players but is not recommended. Leatherworkers do not require any special equipment to create their items such as blacksmiths require anvils. Leatherworkers can create wherever they want as long as they have the proper required ingredients. Recipe Ingredients The main staple for leatherworkers is obviously leather as well as hides. These are found by skinning animals. You will likely not get enough leather and hides on your own so you are encouraged to buy leather and hides as well as have your friends collect them for you. Recipes also require various other ingredients such as dyes and thread purchased from a Profession merchant. You might also need rare gems which are found from monster drops, treasure chests, mining, fishing, and Rogue pick pocketing. Conversions You can combine lesser leather to convert it to higher leather. Check out the table below for a list of conversions. Food is used in the game to heal players out of combat, so they can get back to fighting as quickly as possible. As you’re traveling around the world, you’ll notice that you often receive pieces of meat, which, instead of being sold to merchants, could be used to create food. If you’re a player that relies on food, such as a non-healing player or a player that solos, food should become very important to you. You can buy food from merchants, but the food gained through cooking is nearly free and it is actually much more effective. Cooking is also a great “”flavor”" secondary skill because you can entertain players with the funny and interesting dishes you can create. Hand someone some Gooey Spider Cake, Giant Clam Scorcho, or a Curiously Tasty Omelet and you’ll see what we mean. Becoming a Cook First, find an NPC who can teach you to Cook. Ask a guard for directions in big cities. These trainers will likely be somewhere near a fire or cooking pot and can make you into an Apprentice Cook. Once you’ve become an apprentice, you will need to buy the appropriate recipe ingredients from a trade merchant and you’ll finally be ready to cook it up! Make sure you learn how to create a campfire so that you can cook anywhere. You’ll need to carry around flint and tinder along with some simple wood to create your fire. You can cook over any good fire you find, however such as a stove, brazier, or fireplace. Campfires just give you more options. They’re funny too. To learn expert cooking you will need to purchase an Expert Cookbook.

These can be found in Shadowprey Village in Desolace (Horde) or at Silverpine Refuge in Ashenvale (Alliance). Artisan Cooking requires a completion of quests. The cooking trainer, Zamja in Ogrimmar (Horde) can start it off or Daryl Riknussun in Ironforge can help the Alliance. You need 225 Cooking to start it off. Master Cooking is available from a book sold by cooking trainers in Hellfire Peninsula. Horde players can buy their copy from Baxter at the inn at Thrallmar. “As a secondary skill, fishing occupies its own unique space in World of Warcraft. Although it is essentially a gathering skill akin to skinning, herbalism, or mining, the mechanics of the skill make it almost like a mini-game. Just like the real-life equivalent, to become a master fisherman you’ll have to spend considerable time standing next to bodies of water while holding a fishing pole. Catching a fish will be a test of your reaction time, as you have to right-click the bobber immediately after you see it dip into the water indicating you’ve caught something. Along with the requisite marine life such as fish, eels, and squid, you also might haul up some odds and ends from time to time - including even valuable items, some of which may only be caught by fishing. The fish you catch can be eaten on their own to regain health, or they can be used in cooking recipes. The cooked fish will often provide useful effects when eaten. And, like any real-life fisherman will tell you, part of the appeal of fishing is its inherent relaxing nature. Finding a perfect fishing spot, secluded from other players and (hopefully) enemies, while surrounded by beautiful scenery - it’s a perfect way to take a break from your adventures in the World of Warcraft! Getting Started First, you need to find a fishing trainer. Fishing trainers are usually located next to a lake or stream. If you see an NPC standing near the water, he’s likely a fishing trainer or merchant. Ask around and people can help lead you to the fishing trainer. Once you have learned fishing, you need to go find yourself a fishing pole! Fishing Poles After you have trained in fishing, you need to go buy a fishing pole.

Fishing poles can be purchased from merchants who sell items required for Professions (”"trade merchants”"). Ask other people where to find one, if you need help. “Blizzard Entertainment has today updated its official Web site with a map for World of Warcraft. The map shows where some of the major cities are located and also gives some idea of where the different races in the game will start in relation to each other. A number of the place names that appear on the map can be clicked on for further information, and fans of Warcraft III should find some of the regions familiar. New World of Warcraft races Blizzard has updated its Web site with information about three previously unannounced races for World of Warcraft. Two of the new races, the undead and the trolls, will join the orcs and tauren as members of the Horde. The gnomes will be a part of the Alliance, with also includes the humans, dwarves, and night elves. Blizzard has also announced three new player classes: the priest, rogue, and paladin. There’s a new section on the World of Warcraft Web site devoted to the undead, providing background information and listing the classes that will be available for those playing undead characters. “World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Hands-On - New Zones and Death Knights

“The last time we had a look at Blizzard’s upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, was at last year’s Blizzcon. The expansion will offer players a new land to roam (the frosty Northrend), an intimidating big bad (Arthas, the surly antihero prominently featured in Warcraft III’s Frozen Throne expansion), and a dense mound of new content. We recently had the chance to go down to Blizzard’s Southern California office and spend a meaty chunk of time rolling through several of the new zones in the game. In addition, Blizzard offered up details on the Death Knight class, a fundamental change to the raiding system, and some new quest types. The mysterious Death Knight will be a gimme for anyone who has a character at level 55 or higher. If you have a 55 or higher character on any server, you’ll get the option to create a Death Knight with any race. Obviously, there are some caveats: Players will only be able to create one Death Knight per realm per account. Once created, your undead rebel will be level 55, be able to summon a regular mount, and have a set series of quests designed to fill you in on how to use their unique abilities, as well as bring you up to speed on their backstories. While we weren’t able to play as the new class, we were treated to a brief demo showcasing the knight’s finer aspects. The standout element of the knight is its rune-powered spell system. A series of six rune slots will rest beneath a Death Knight’s life bar and hold any combination of the three rune types needed to cast spells or power their unique abilities: unholy, frost, and blood. The exact configuration of runes is customizable by players, although doing so will require you to go to a specific locale.

We reckon this will work something like talents, in that you’ll have to visit a trainer of some kind to let you respec your rune setup. It also seems like a player’s rune configuration will vary based on the spell and ability types he or she favors. wow gold Once used, a rune will have a cooldown time so your rune configuration can enable you to use or cast several of the same spells and abilities in quick succession if you set them up properly. While the specifics of the spells and abilities are still being sorted, we were shown a sampling to give us an idea of what to expect. We saw the death-coil spell, an area-of-effect disease, an ice-based shackle, and a wicked snare that yanked a spellcaster into striking range (which we imagine is going to be a really bad thing for casters). wow gold A complementary by-product of these rune powered abilities is “”runic power,”" which will be generated every time you use one.
