Curse of Recklessness

“This curse has gained prominence in raids by buffing physical DPS by most 6%. To make this curse count, the increase in melee and hunter DPS must be greater than what CoD or CoA can put out, which is typically most 150dps. The breakeven point is most three DPSers dishing out 900 physical dps consistently - most 25-united states marine corps raid setups should have no problems surpassing this. Curse of Recklessness (CoR) also has the negative effect of increasing the mob’s melee move power by 135. For bosses that rely on melee moves as their primary form of move, CoR can be intense news for your tank. So, when do I use this. With CoS merged into CoE, a second Warlock can be appointed to administer CoR on the raid’s target in selected encounters. CoR is prizewinning used on non-melee mobs that deal ranged or magical damage, and is mostly safe for trash mobs. The increased AP can be somewhat cancelled out by a Warrior’s Improved Demoralizing Shout or added Warlock’s Curse of Weakness (see beneath), and an affliction lock’s Shadow Embrace effect. In fights where survivability, especially that of the heaved tank, is more important than DPS output, it’s probably prudent to fall backwards to the usual CoA or CoD. That said, raid planners should not overlook the DPS contribution of CoR. As a Warlock, ever check with your raid leader if you’re unsure of the nature of the encounter. Some raids are in certainty stacking Curse of Weakness (CoW) and CoR to maximize their melee damage, especially if the tank in question is a Druid or Paladin. AP-reducing effects do not stack, so stronger effects will overwrite weaker ones. Before including talents, the humble AP debuffs are 350, 300 and 240 for the Warlock, Warrior and Druid respectively. The maximum AP-reduction realizable by feral druids is 336, even with five points in Feral Aggression. On the other hand, warlocks with two points in Improved CoW can reduce AP by 420 - the large such effect in the game currently. “Ladies and gentlemen, I rarely get very excited most new addons, but OPie has revolutionized my UI in a way that dead fits with my clutter-free mindset. Ultimately, as I test addons, only a few end up existence a permanent part of my gameplay. I can’t necessarily promise OPie will stay, but it’s looking like such an innovative mod that I may just come to rely on it. We’ve discussed both Totemus and Necrosis here at Addon Spotlight, and praised the way they wrap things into a neat little package. OPie does the same thing, but to an extent that not only are your spells hidden until you need them, but they can be easily integrated with a minimalist play-style. What OPie does is take spells, items, trade-skills and macros and creates virtual rings for them to reside in. By distribution a keybinding, one can simply press a button and have a quick menu (a ring) materialize on the screen, which will cast a spell, use an item or a macro supported on where the conjuror is hovering in relation to the ring. I have been testing this on my shaman, putting every of my healing spells in a ring bound to “”Shift-H”". When I press the key combination, my spells materialize on the screen, and I know through practice that Lesser Healing Wave is the top most spell. By quickly pressing Shift+H, then swiping my cursor from the center of my screen and up and letting go of the keys, I begin to cast my heal. That may sound like a lot, but I promise it is significantly faster and easier than clicking on my state forbid or on Healbot (which I only use in groups anymore.) For them, the game is not just consumption of whatever Blizzard creates, it is a sandbox playground, in which they can use the tools to make up stories of their own within Blizzard’s world. I really doubt that they actually want to maintain strict control of the WoW experience and prevent roleplayers from having these tools — rather they just want to play to the widest possible conference, including people who don’t have that creative inclination that so defines roleplayers. On the other hand, it could be that Blizzard just doesn’t really get what we want, nor have a real understanding of how to give it to us. mp3 players If they did understand, I think they would find we’re not asking for super-fancy complicated stuff that takes a long time to make — just more simple things with multiple uses in different creative situations. Blizzard doesn’t care most role-players but most nominal role-play ghettos. You only have to visit a handful of RP servers to see environments that are utterly hostile towards RP—environments where GM’s do little to resource players that are looking for an immersive experience. Players themselves have little acquirable to defend themselves from onslaughts of thoughtless players, divagation from moving to already added RP server in desperation. I have to concord. wow gold Their are plenty of MMOs that are existence worked on that have things like player and guild housing, ways to customize and add to the houses, and such. There is already plenty of birdlike parts we get, and every it would take is to add an npc to take those parts, usually just grey items, and turn them into a shiny new Stuffed birdlike. It feels so much meliorate to have an existent item you can link to, so rather than just using an emote like, “”Soandso cries on your shoulder,”" you can say, “”Soandso takes out his Tear-Stained Hankerchief and dabs at his eyes.”" There’s a feeling of surprise you get when someone uses an item like this in such a way, as if we’re not just playacting at a game — that item is really there. What roleplayers really want in terms of items are more props like this. More things we can use to give our characters more expressions of flavor and personality. Elder’s Moonstones and Elune Stones are added great example of general items which can be used in a variety of ways to fit our tale. They have a visual effect which could be anything from a spotlight on a theater, to the Light itself granting its support to your paladin. Some people figure out ways to use non-combat pets as roleplaying items too. Engineers are fond of showing off their pets as their direful creations, for instance, and one of my friends at Dramatis-Personae found out she could use the Red Helper Box to represent her gnome feature’s daughter. Roleplayers don’t want gimmicks so much as they want tools. The Brazier of Dancing Flames is nice in its own way, but it fails as a roleplay item because it’s way too complicated and specific to the Midsummer Fire Festival; it tries too hard to be the center of tending, whereas the Elune Stones, for instance, could be used in some number of situations outside of the Lunar Festival, and earmark the players’ stories themselves to stay in the spotlight. This is the heaved difference between Blizzard and roleplayers.


Each one wants the child of their own creative inspiration to be in the forefront. Blizzard says “”here, have some toys!”" and we communicate, “”but where’s the tools. “” Blizzard says every the world really is a stage In the WoW Q&A Develoment Panel, the very last question that got squeezed in at the end was from a roleplayer who wanted to know if Blizzard was planning on creating cities or other environments specifically for roleplayers. On one hand, their respond was reasonable: different players want different kinds of environments, so rather than create things which are exclusively for roleplayers, they put lore and feature in places every over the world and welcome roleplayers to roleplay there. They cite the Darkmoon Faire as a well roleplaying spot — and it is; I have roleplayed there sometimes, especially when it first came out. The toys were a fun novelty to play with, but they didn’t last the test of replayability — you don’t come backwards to the tonk machines in the same way you come backwards to the battlegrounds and instances. wow gold In the same way, as a roleplaying spot it’s well for characters who like to get drunk a lot, but it’s not really what roleplayers everywhere are asking for recently. ” “Blizzard definitely cares most roleplayers. They listen to us and there’s a special place for us in their hearts — which is natural, because in many ways, their whole world has its own tale and scenery which means a lot to them, and while every players get to see that tale unfolding through their activities in the game, roleplayers are the ones who participate in that tale by making their own stories within it. The problem is that Blizzard and its roleplayers are on beauty different wavelengths when it comes to what roleplayers want to get and what Blizzard wants to provide.

Blizzard wants to give us more neat toys and perfect places to enjoy, with lots of lore and tale behindhand them — and while this is every very interesting and everyone enjoys it, most roleplayers are wishing they have more sandbox-like tools, spaces and items they can easily curve or shape in their own ways, to use for their own purposes. Blizzard may care, but do they really understand. wow gold Read on for insights Blizzard may be missing. The Brazier of Gimmicky Fluff In the latest Blizzcast, my esteemed colleague Jim H. Moreno asked a question through his troll priest Wichdocta, most what new items were coming up for roleplayers to use. The thing is that most roleplayers probably won’t use it in their existent roleplaying experiences. It’s fun and beauty and every, but it’s hard to fit into our characters’ personal stories. Heroic attunements gone in Wrath

“Another interesting thing to note from the Dungeons and Raids panel of the WWI more rapidly today is the topic of Heroic attunements. We’ve known for some time that Blizzard has wanted to move absent from reputation requirements for Heroic keys, and we found an example of that in Magisters’ Terrace. This was reinforced hasty on in the panel when Cory Stockton stated that there will be no alliance and reputation requirements whatsoever for some of the Heroics. This doesn’t particularly surprise me, because Heroic keys at Honored is little more than a formality and way to waste a little gold. You hit Honored with most places just through leveling up, so by the time you’re top level you can probably already go into those Heroics. Requiring Honored might as well be no requirement at every. However, the possibility of a Magisters’ Terrace style attunement was something I acknowledged they would do. Run the Normal at least once before the Heroic, or by completing some other type of task successfully. That, too, was shot down later in the Q&A. A question most attunements was answered with the certainty that none of the Dungeons or Heroics will have some attunement at every, and neither will the first raid zone, Naxxramas. I don’t mind this too much, it leaves it up to the player to judge whether they’re ready for Heroics or not. I still would have liked to have seen some attunement quests for Heroics, because I think the added flavor or added challenges those quests could provide would add some depth to things. It seems we’re not getting those, and I’ll cope with it I’m sure, it just feels like a lost chance. I have mixed feelings most this. On one hand, lower barriers to entry are usually a well thing, it means that it won’t be quite as tough to get groups and things together, especially considering the constituent of a new tanking class.


However on the other hand there are people running heroics now that simply don’t have the gear or skill necessary to run them and that ever causes a lot of needless headaches in PUGs. Additionally I concord with you, while it’s nice to not have to grind rep I would have loved to see some sort of quest a la Magister’s Terrace. You got some tasty lore and information in the heroic attunement quest and it only required you to run the dungeon once, a requirement which I think is beautiful and beauty straightforward. I’d like to see more of that and it’s a shame that it seems there won’t be. ” “The verdict The new Arena maps are a long ways off. There’s no way to tell how much of what was presented will actually make it to the release. However, a quick glance at the maps for me indicate too many random factor to make for a reliable match ocean. An ideal Arena would be one where the meliorate team will win each time. A map with mobile structures or, worse, deals environmental damage, can create situations of luck. In a counterpoised map, you try to eliminate randomness as much as you can. On the other hand, Blizzard has admitted to liking a taste of randomness in PvE encounters (e.g. Prince Malchezaar) and perhaps wanted to administer a similar philosophy to Arena PvP. From what we’ve seen so far, the new maps employ the very gimmicks that Blizzard felt didn’t contribute to the match. wow gold It’s just as random as a cyclone in the middle of the map. Worse than having a killing expiration dodged or resisted is having a pillar pop up to break Line of Sight just as you’re most to deliver the strike. With map design like this, it nearly feels like Blizzard is taking the war absent from the players and giving the environment a hand in dictating the match.

wow gold In my mind, an Arena map should be simple (they said that) and earmark the most straightforward encounters while still allowing for creative — and not random — movement in kiting and counter-kiting. While the size of the Dalaran map causes concern for some ranged classes at first glance, what struck me was Blizzard’s facade to actually create such a close quarters map. wow gold To me, this indicates a possible mindset — that Blizzard understands the difficulty that some classes, Hunters in particular, have in small format PvP. WWI ‘08 Panel Analysis: PvP part II, New Arena Maps

“Dalaran Arena When Dalaran flew off to Northrend, it took a chunk of the ground with it. Dalaran Arena is set in the sewer system of Dalaran, with a fairly simple equilateral lay-out and a sewage pipe jutting from the ceiling in the middle. The twist is that the sewage pipe expels a river of line-of-sight-breaking sludge into grates on the floor at (random. ) periodic intervals. There’s a raised platform in the center of the room and small, permanent crates where people can stand and hide to shout Line of Sight. Opposing teams start on opposite sides of the map nested in sewage pipes and getting spewed onto the Arena floor by a river of… sewage, presumably. The size of the Arena looks to be small, judging from the presentation, which creates some dread for kite-dependent classes such as Hunters and Mages. The dynamic line of sight is an interesting, if questionable, mechanic. It adds more randomness to maps, allowing for strategy, yes, but also introduces a luck factor that might not be welcome in competitive play. The Arena is fairly small, with specific entry points that enable entering to the central platform. Although I haven’t examined the map in detail, it seems to me like a Line of Sight nightmare, with two separate levels and a random pillar of Line of Sight-breaking sludge in the middle. Orgrimmar Arena There’s a curious ocean in the Valley of Honor called the Ring of Valor, which is an empty field that players cannot enter — there’s an invisible wall that prevents jumping in. The new Orgrimmar Arena is theoretically this field, but Blizzard’s description of elevators and rising pillars and spikes is a novel concept. Similar to the Dalaran Arena, the Stockton explains that the starting areas will provide a new dynamic to each match by having both teams start very near one added, atop elevators rising from beneath the ground. The rising pillars will work off a specific timer, signified by moving gears prior to its descent or raise.


A wall of spikes may or may not be tied in to the pillar rotation, and players will be healthy to get crossways the obstacle but will take some damage. wow gold Chilton explained how this could lead to some interesting choices in strategy, like getting a HoT before moving crossways the spikes. The rising pillar can create interesting strategies for players who would like to get out of melee range, positioning themselves atop the pillar just as it rises, enabling presumably unmitigated sniping. It is also interesting to note that Orgrimmar Arena is proposed to have NPC spectators who are reactive to the players, cheering bloodthirstily, for example, if a player’s health becomes dangerously low. ” “Any discussion most World of Warcraft PvP nowadays inevitably involves Arenas. wow gold With the onset of Season 4 and its new rules and requirements, Arena play is getting more intense than ever. Of course, as the competition heats up, the cries of an imbalanced contest grow louder than ever. Blizzard seems to be alive of the issues and have taken some steps in the development of the Wrath of the Lich King to come class and spec viability. During the panel on “”PvP Game Systems”", however, lead designers Tom Chilton and Corey Stockton devoted most of their Arena discussion to the new maps rather than the hairy, and probably inconclusive, issue of class equilibrise and representation. buy wow gold The new Arena maps follow Blizzard’s philosophy of keeping things simple already have room for innovation; having dynamic points of interest; having conceptually different starting areas; and leave margin to make adjustments during development. Large, sprawling mazes would have extended matches unnecessarily, so the idea behindhand the current and new maps is to have players find their opponents quickly, get into war, and finish it. Creeps lose a pack to maps, but freeps lose a pack to crafting, one to quests, one to consumables and the smaller number of maps, leaving two for every the PvMP drops and vendor trash. Most people seem uninterested in the PvMP drops, but I have already to decide how much I will packrat in the Ettermoors. A bounteous issue is that your forces are set. You cannot log, click “Defiler,” and have a level 50 healer. If you do not have a Minstrel, you do not have a Minstrel, unless you can convince one to come join you. You have meliorate options for recruiting one, since global channels reach every freeps while the creeps are just the creeps, but only so many people have a stable of level-capped alts. The well and the intense is that they keep coming. The creeps have maps, rez circles, and rezers. Freeps refer to “repops,” and a dead creep will be backwards in a few minutes at most unless he logs. Capturing a keep takes a while when you have creeps to war with every NPC spawn. Freeps have a rez circle if they have TR or Lugz, but other than that, ride the horse backwards from GV and hope not to hit a warg pack. This explains the ubiquity of the TR war.


It is the closest keep for freeps, and it provides a rez circle. Claiming it is a win for the chromatic team. Fighting for it is great reknown: the creeps have a nearby rez circle, the freeps take most as long to ride from GV, so the losing team is backwards very quickly. The war goes on interminably until one side gets bored, wipes, or successfully gets the CG/Tyrant during a lull. This is actually fun with evenly matched teams, where a long war with lots of kills ranges throughout the building and crossways the nearby fields. ” “I have have two nights as a freep in the Ettenmoors (PvMP). Wow, that is so much easier. The first night was as a 47, the second as a 48, and I will take added tour soon since I hit 49 last night. (No idea why the capricious “once per level until 50″ thing. Probably because there is no xp to be have out there.) Both times we took one keep, I got most 100 kills with 10 killing blows, and I earn 2300 infamy. wow gold That means I hit rank 2 on my first night. That estimate I have most how long it takes a creep to rank. If I can keep this up, and I think I can do meliorate, cut those times by 75%. wow gold I died 0 times the first night, twice the second night. The damage is great on the chromatic team. Hunters have much meliorate burst DPS than Blackarrows, and we have more of them. My Hunter likes to start fights with ~500 damage in a few seconds, so few things survive three seconds of concentrated fire from a raid. world of warcraft gold Hunters also track for free, which takes a talisman every time a creep wants it, and freeps can find everyone with two skills versus the one talisman per freep race.

The buffs are very nice as well, especially when a Captain gives +50 to everything with In Defense of Middle Earth. You’d rake in hundreds of thousands of XP, plus earn rare rewards to help you level. Since your 70s are impatiently waiting for these fellow members to catch up to them, this is clearly a win-win! Now, I understand that you want people to learn their classes and not have their hands held every the way to 70. That is admirable and in most circumstances I would concord with you wholeheartedly. However, it seems that the very existence of your guild is at stake. Midsummer Fire Festival level guide

“You don’t have to be level 70 to get in on most of the fun for this year’s Midsummer Fire Festival. Here is a guide to the minimum levels required (as stated by Kisirani) and recommended for each of the quests: Torch Tossing and Torch Catching have no minimum level requirement. Because you complete these quests in the safety of a capital city, some level is pertinent. Honoring the flames has no minimum level requirement. Unless you are 50+, however, the recommended level is the same as the level of the ocean you can comfortably hunt in. Desecrating flames also has no minimum level requirement, but considering it flags you for PvP even on a PvE server, do so at your own risk if you are low level. Incense for the Festival Scorchlings also has no minimum level and some level is recommended. Unusual Activitiy requires level 16, but I wouldn’t recommend lower than 20 given that you have to war level 20 and 21 cultists and the ocean is rotten with level 20 Naga. A Thief’s Reward or stealing the flames in the other alliance’s capital cities required a minimum level of 50, but if the flame is at every defended, it’s prizewinning to be level 70. Lord Ahune requires a minimum level of 65. Slave Pens is where he resides, so some level above the minimum that you feel comfortable in that instance is recommended. Edited to add: Upon further review, the recommended level to complete this quest is 70 and it is easier if the 70s in your group are well-geared. These quests give a lot of experience if you are beneath 70 and a lot of gold if you aren’t. Regardless of the rewards, however, these quests are a fresh infusion of fun during this period of pre-expansion blahs.

“You cannot win without defending your own flag and your flag carrier. If you have 9 people on offense going for the flag and they have five on defense, they will hold you up long enough to prevent you from taking their flag until after they’ve not only sent five in to kill your one defender and take your flag, but then the ones who you killed taking their flag will constantly prevent you from leaving with it while their flag carrier and his defenders run backwards, hit you from the other side, kill your FC and then cap right in front of you. You need enough defense to do the same backwards to them. Any strategy that hinges on your entire team going into their humble, where they have the goodness of knowing exactly what you’re trying to do and control of the line of sight, means you’re going to backfire unless you massively outgear/outplay them. Now, you can count on massively outgearing/outplaying the other team if you’re a premade group in full S3/Tier6 gear against a PuG group. But that’s not a plan so much as it is straightforward mauling of an inferior team, and even then, if they have some defense they could at least slow you down a lot. If you go in lonely, cap the flag, run out and run into the enemy with no one anywhere near you, you’re going to die. Be philosophical most this. You knew you were lonely when you took the flag. Arathi Basin For the love of whatever you hold sacred, don’t run off and leave a node undefended to go war on the way! Why do people do this. Why. What possible reason could you have to leave mine undefended to go move stables and then not even go to the flag at the stables.


Are you under the impression that pile of standing stones contains vast caches of riches. Did you get confused most the objective of the match, which is to take nodes and hold them. Winning the match in no way requires you to score the most KB’s. No matter how many times you tell us every most how you’re leading the BG in killing blows, if we’re losing, no one cares how awing you are. If we’re up three to two, this is not the time to every leave BS undefended and hit one of the two nodes the enemy has. BS is right in the middle of the map. Every node has entering to it, with mine and lumber mill having the hardest of a not particularly hard time rushing it. wow gold So if you leave BS to go hit farm, expect that BS will be taken from you if you don’t leave someone, anyone there to defend it, even to just yell out “”BS BS BS”" as the enemy slaughters him as brutally as crazed shoppers the day after Thanksgiving. Even though the tabard’s design matched the Midsummer quest reward, the description was quite different. First of every, the Tabard of the Victor requires Level 80, which was our first clue that it was probably not meant for pre-Wrath eyes. The tabard binds on pick-up, provides 250 Armor, +20 Stamina, +10 to All Resistances. Upon equipping it, your resilience rating improves by 15 and it increases movement speed and life regeneration rate. The funniest part — and what makes me think this could be a prank by our dear game designers — is the tabard’s use is described as: “”Use: Show how heroic you are! (55 Secs Cooldown)”" and the bottom line description is, “”The Mark of a True Hero.”" It seems that perhaps the glitch was caused by an error in the cache because when it was cleared the tabard’s description correctly matched the Summer Flames tabard.
